The Heavenly Kings (2006)

Plot: Four Heavenly Kings is about four semi-famous actors (Daniel Wu, Andrew Lin, Terence Yin & Conroy ‘BaBa’ Chan) whom decide to form a boy band – “ALIVE”, although only really Terence can sing. With the help of computer technology they manage to make a plausible track “Adams Choice”, they try and get a contract going with a big music company. The company offers them a contract, but they a 10 year contract and 50% of all the money they make.

None of them want to do this for the next ten years so they instead they come up with a rather in-genius plan to make them famous. Although with their fame growing and with band arguing amongst themselves, can ALIVE survive? Read the rest of this entry »

Confession of Pain (2006)

Plot: Police Chief Ching (Tony Leung Chiu-Wai) and Police Officer Bong (Takeshi Kaneshiro) and several other officers perused and arrested a twist rapist at Christmas. Returning home after his shift Bong is horrified to find that his pregnant girlfriend, Rachael (Emma Wong) had committed suicide.

Fast forward three years. Now an alcoholic, Bong left the police force and became a private investigator, he discovered the child Rachael was baring wasn’t his. Ching is now married to Susan (Xu Jing-Lei), the daughter of billionaire Chow.

Susan goes to Bong asking him to invistigate the vicious murder of her father and his butler, Man. She belives that the murder is far more complex that what their being led to believe. Taking the case Bong discovers a far darkerside to Susans family and his murderers. Read the rest of this entry »

Fatal Contact (2006)

Plot: National Kung Fu champion – Ko Kong (Wu Jing) finds himself being propsitioned by the local triads. They urge him to use his skills on the underground boxing circuit to help him and them earn some easy green.

Refusing their first offer Kong finds himself being convinced by the charm of a young woman called Tin (Miki Yeung). Both of them have came from a poor background and with Kong’s talent they discover that they can become rather wealthy, rather quick.

Befriending triad lacky Captain (Ronald Cheng) a street wise lacky who takes the couple under his wing. As Kong’s undefeated streak continues he catches the attention of triad boss Chansun (Ken Lo), Chansun believes his fighters can beat Kong.
