RIP Satoshi Kon (1963-2010)

After several tweets, Otakon confirmed that Tokyo Godfather & Paprika director Satoshi Kon has passed away. UK Anime Network wrote;
This is breaking news just coming in as I type this, emanating from the Twitter account of GAINAX’s Yasuhiro Takeda and later confirmed by Madhouse’s Masao Maruyama via theOtakon committee, but the renowned and much-admired anime director Satoshi Kon passed away yesterday at the age of 47.

Attend the London Premier of “Big Tits Zombie”

Joey Terracotta has been busy working on Terracotta Distributions latest title; Big Tits Zombie. The Prince Charles Cinema in London are holding the first 3D UK Screening of the movie! If the title doesnt explain enough here’s the plot;
Five bored strippers, working in a quiet club, stumble across a secret passageway in their dressing room, leading to the basement and The Well of the Dead and The Book of the Dead.
They read the incantations from the book out loud and unknowingly, unleash the army of the Undead on the world! Armed with swords and chainsaws and their kick-ass fighting moves, only THEY can stop the zombie army now!

Triple Tap HK Region 3 Release is here!

Asia on Film emailed us over the weekend, remember when Mike Banner discussed trailers of movies coming soon? Well one of these titles are ready for release! Asia on Film being based on the UK Shores means that long wait for postage is gone! For those not familiar with the plot;
Champion competitive marksman Ken comes across an armored van robbery. He sees a policeman held hostage and shoots and kills four of the robbers. One of the robbers escapes and the policeman survives. The case is handled by Jerry Chang, whom Ken knows from having recently beaten him in a shooting match. Ken is found not guilty in court. Soon after, Ken is attacked by the escaped robber Pang Tao…

In the Mood for Love (2000)

Hong Kong, 1962. Chan Li-Zhen (Maggie Cheung) is a secretary whose married, her husband is a businessman who spends most, if not all of his time going on business trips to Japan. Chan moves into a spare room of a rather cramp tenement building. She is then introduced to Chow Mo-Wan (Tony Leung).
Chow, a married man has just moved into the a spare room in the flat next door to Chan, his wife is also dedicated to her job and is never around when Chow’s around.
