For Bad Boys Only (2000)

Plot: King Chan (Ekin Cheng), Queen Chan (Kirsty Yang) and Jack (Louis Koo) are experts in reuniting People with their first loves. They have even turned this skill in a Organisation, ran by the three called “Bad Boys Detective Agency”, I think they also enjoy ruining Blacky Ko’s chances of getting married…twice!

One day Tin Ai (Daniel Chan) calls upon the service of this mighty trio to find his girlfriend, Shadow (Shu Qi) who disappeared 14 months. Yet he has no money to pay for them to help him, although Queen is quite taken by his case and decides to take him on. Soon after meeting Tin Ai, the body guard of Yung Yung Hsin (Jerry Lamb) confronts the agency and asks them to find his bosses first love, Kwan Chin. Kwan Chin was Olympic athlete in sprinting, known as the Asian Antelope.

The Bad Boy Agency seem stunned that both Shadow & Kwan Chin are identical, but Mr. Yung knew her 20 years ago. But he found someone identical to her in a Disco…but its not Shadow? Mr. Yung suggests that this Disco Girl is Kwan Chins daughter.

Jack and Queen decide to look for Kwan Chin and King will look for this mystery look-a-like.

King treats his women like Chewing Gum! They are nice and sweet at first, but then he looses his taste in them and leaves. Romeo Must Die (2000)

A modern day interpretation of the Shakespeare classic ‘Romeo & Julliet’ (Hence the title). Han Sing (Jet Li), an ex-cop sent to prison to take the wrap for his young brother and father, to whom are both Hong Kong Crime lords. His father and his brother both move to San Francisco to escape their troubles.

After hearing about the death of his younger brother, he escapes from prison and gets the first plane to the San Francisco. Han’s main objective is to find out why and who killed his brother and then avenge his death. Although he meets a sassy young girl name Trish. Trish is the daughter of Business man (Delroy Lindo) who is doing deals with Hans father. Although members of both groups are being killed off, which is stirring up some trouble between the two businesses. But can Han avenge his brother and solve these gang murders? Fist Power (2000)

Chiu Man Cheuk is back with another fast paced action movie although it doesn’t live up to its expectation.

Brain Cheuk (Chiu Man-Cheuk) a Security Specialist who is trained as a martial artist. After celebrating his birthday with his family he plans on moving to Hong Kong. Although his family (who also all train in martial arts) have plans for him already…Married!

Chau (Anthony Wong) is an old army veteran who works at the local scrap yard with his brother in law (Sam Lee). One day Chau finds out that his wife is planning on leaving the country with his step son, Tony along with his real father, a gangster fresh out of prison. Help!!! (2000)

Plot: Yan (Cecilia Chung) is a young doctor at Kau Kei-Ho Charity Hospital. The Kau Kei-Ho hospital is in a terrible state, the doctors don’t do their job, they choose to help the hardly injured patients rather than the serious ones! When patient was comes in after being struck by lightening the doctors and nurses attempt to unload him onto other departments, but no one wants him! Yan finds the sizzled patient and discovers that he is actually man who owns the hospital ‘Sir Kau Kei-Ho’! (Lam Kau) He pleads Yan to turn things around, make the hospital a hospital and not an embarrassment!

Unable to change things herself she convinces greasy haired slacker doctor Jim (Jordan Chan) to help. Although Jim admits he won’t be able to make any difference with out his old colleague Joe.

Joe (Ekin Cheng) left the hospital a few years back, Joe had made a pact with Jim. If the hospital demanded reform, they would resign, so Joe resigned where as Jim said he did but he sent a Christmas Card instead. Since then Joe doesn’t want anything to do with weak willed Jim.

She chose to become a doctor because Joe & Jim saved her life from appendicitis when she was 14. She promised to marry the doctor that shouted “It’s not easy being a doctor!”, although due to the anesthetic she can’t remember which doctor it was.

Yan’s intriguing story convinces Joe to return to Kau Kei-Ho, although will the ‘highest management’ allow it? Read the rest of this entry »

Plot: Young Cops, Darren (Aaron Kwok) and Alex (Lee Hom-Wang) are part of an elite group known as Team 808, their objective is to stop all international drug smuggling into China.

Add Tony Lau (Mark Dacascos) the son of Hong Kong crimelord Ma (Lau Siu-Ming), Tony has hooked up with a street wise american coccain dealer – Coolio (rapper/crap actor Coolio). Tony and Coolio plan on bringing cocaine against Ma’s orders.

Brother (2000)

With his life under threat, ageing Yakuza, Aniki Yamamoto (Beat Takeshi) escapes to Los Angeles in search of his young brother Ken. Ken is a small time drug dealer who is pushed around by the Mexicans, until he is reunited with Aniki. Aniki teams up with Ken and his friends and fellow gang member Denny (Omar Epps).

Soon Yamamoto finds himself back into his old routine playing gang wars with the Mexicans. After clearing out the Mexicans Yamamoto, Ken, Denny and some local Yakuza (including Susumu Terajima) end up coming against some of the deadliest players in the game, the mafia.
