Category: This Week In Sleaze

This Week In Sleaze is the adults only show where the Podcast On Fire Network lets the sleaze and nudity rule as the Category III era gets a chance to matter, be laughed at or ridiculed.

This Week In Sleaze 56: Tightie Whitie Theatre – Liu Jai Home for the Intimate Ghosts & Unforgetful Holiday

The Category III movie scene had opportunistic filmmakers so when elegant and uniquely crazy movies such as Erotic Ghost Story hit or a Sex & Zen, you had everybody and their creepy uncles making films. But a veteran of the format, director Lam Yi-hung would prove to be skilled at stretching his dollars and he does so in 1991’s Liu Jai Home For The Intimate Ghosts. Featuring Charlie Cho as the dumbass version of a Lam Ching-ying. Also Charlie and Stuart Ong take club girls for a day on the sea, smoking and some nights on an island. An unforgetful holiday. With Sleazy K, The Great Lord Joshua Regal and King Who?

This Week In Sleaze 54: Tightie Whitie Theatre – Viva Erotica & Bamboo House Of Dolls

Let’s talk award winning fucking and fucking in prison…camp. It’s another Category III movie about making a Category III movie but this time it has a elite director, movie stars AND stars of Cat III that all merge in Viva Erotica from co-director Derek Yee. Also, nude women in a Japanese prison camp. Shaw Brothers goes for the exploitation genre, via the distinct stamp of director Kuei Chih-hung in Bamboo House Of Dolls.

This Week In Sleaze 53: Tightie Whitie Theatre – Another Piece Of Romance & Picking Up Girls

Let’s talk some not Christmas cheer, not even fucking-cheer but castration-cheer! You make the food, cut your meat, use your knives, maybe scissors in some instance and then you come to the realization you are missing a Taiwan Christmas classic on your to watch list. So once dinner has been served, consumed, you sit down in front of the cozy fire, with your favourite beverage and watch castrations galore in the 1994 Taiwanese produced Cat III golden oldie Another Piece Of Romance. Then you go pick up girls. Yep, the second movie of our This Week In Sleaze Christmas Special is called Picking Up Girls and that’s all the introduction it gets. Except scissors are exchanged for a hammer in that one. It’s a Merry Charlie Cho Christmas with Sleazy K, The Great Lord Joshua Regal and King Who!

This Week In Sleaze 52: Confession Of A Concubine & Vulgaria

Adding to the list of Category III movies about making Category III movies, only one of our movies this week cover this criteria but they are connected! 1976’s Confession Of A Concubine is a fairly obscure period erotica with elements later seen in A Chinese Torture Chamber Story but the true connection to 1976 is 2012’s Vulgaria from director Pang Ho-cheung. He centers his plot about remaking/making a sequel to the 1976 movie and thus, we cover both.

This Week In Sleaze 51: Tightie Whitie Theatre – The Unpublicizable File & Erotic Journey

Let’s talk a fucking rip-off! The Untold Story was hot and made ripples, including during awards season, so a set of makers decided to do their own Bunman. Clearly having trouble coming up with an English title that would evoke Herman Yau’s film, what they settled on was The Unpublizeable File. Also, an erotic journey into a Thai prison camp called… Erotic Journey.

This Week In Sleaze 50: Tightie Whitie Theatre – Gong Tau: An Oriental Black Magic & Crazy Love

Let’s talk some fucking partying! With Herman Yau. Partying from 2007 like it’s 1993 as he returned with a Cat III black magic movie at that time starring Mark Cheng and called Gong Tau: An Oriental Black Magic and we watch Loletta Lee go from cute girl in a variety of 80s movies to nude girl in a variety of 90s movies as we look at Crazy Love aka The Fruit Is Ripe.

Ken’s note: At 58m 43s you will hear a slight shift in recording quality. For the remainder of the show we had to rely on a backup recording as my software didn’t record the last half of the show.
