Three Kingdoms: Ressurection Of The Dragon (2008)

Resurrection of the Dragon is a mainly fictional historical epic of legendary soldier Zhao Yun. It follows his life from a simple foot soldier to his death.

Personally I enjoyed this film despite its flaws. It is historically inaccurate, the costumes are totally wrong and they cast a Eurasian actress (Maggie Queue) as a fictional grand daughter of Cao Cao. (thank you IMDB). Read the rest of this entry »

Cast From The Past: Podcast On Fire 12 – The Lau Kar Leung Lovefest

After the sad news this week about legendary filmmaker and martial artist Lau Kar-leung passing away, we thought it would be fitting that the next Cast From The Past (a series of shows lost from our iTunes feed and website) would be this one from 2008 featuring Kenny B, Stoo with a throat infection, Mike Banner and special guest and Lau Kar-leung fan Mike Maley. Amidst praise for the late Pops, the crew also tears Kung Pow: Enter The Fist a new one, talk about fighting Westerners in Hong Kong films and if Maggie Q is an actual talent or not.
