Thailand has got the “Force of Five” (UK DVD/BL Release)

Cine-Asia are preparing their next release from Thailand, with the success of “Raging Phoenix” and with “Merantau” being released in the next few weeks, Force of Five is now due for release. Force of Five is also known as Power Kids, this time the adrenaline is provided by two high kicking teenagers!

Force Of Five (rated 15) will be released on DVD (£17.99) and Blu-ray (£24.99) by Cine Asia on 5th July 2010. Special Features include: Interview Gallery; Making of; Behind The Scenes; Original Trailer; Dolby Digital Thai 2.0 and 5.1 (DVD); DTS HD MA Thai 5.1 (Blu-ray); English Subtitles.

Thailand deliver a two hour movie made up of four twilight zone horror stories from four of Thailand’s promising directors, none of which I would even dream of pronouncing.

In our first segment “Happiness” we are introduced to housebound teenage girl who spends the day texting on her mobile phone her friends. She receives a mysterious message from a young man, but everything is not what it seems to be! Ooooh! Our second story “Tit for Tat” is a Final Destination revenge short where high school bullies each have a grizzly murder awaiting each and everyone of them. “In the Middle” tells the story of four guys going rafting which ends with the group loosing one of their friends. The last segment “Last Fright” we see our most interesting piece, where a air hostess caters to a snooty princess, only to end up poisoning her! Read More

Lets rephrase the title; Cine-Asia schedule release of Storm Warriors: Ultimate Edition DVD/Blu-Ray.

Cine-Asia plan to release the movie on 12th July 2010, which is silly because my birthday is in August, not July! No special features have been released yet but Bey Logan was quoted a few weeks ago that his first Audio Commentary for Cine-Asia would be for “Storm Riders 2”.

Astro Boy Release details and clips!

It’s not often that we cover Animated movies over here, but with the UK release of Astro-Boy, how can we not!?

E1 Entertainment are releasing the DVD/BL on May 31st and with its die hard audience and now Hollywood connections (dubbed by; Sam Jackson, Kirsten Bell, Nicholas Cage and Freddy Highmore). Special Features include;

Details have now came around describing the special features for Cine-Asia’s future release – Mulan – Warrior Princess which is due out on 21st June 2010. Special Features include;

‘Making Of’ featurette; ‘Behind The Scenes’ featurette; interview gallery; Dolby Digital Mandarin 2.0 and 5.1 audio options (DVD); TS HD Master Audio Japanese 5.1 and Dolby Digital Mandarin 2.0 audio options (Blu-ray); English subtitles; original trailer.

Robin-B-Hood, Mulan & Robo-Geisha Release info!

Trying to keep up to date with our latest slew of releases from Cine-Asia.

First up we have Robin-B-Hood from the Cine-Asia/Dragon Dynasty label. Robin-B-Hood will be released as a two-disc DVD (£17.99) and single-disc Blu-ray (£24.99) by Cine Asia on 24th May 2010. Special Features include: ‘Crashing The Hood’ with star and action director Jackie Chan; ‘The Hand That Mocks The Cradle’ with director Benny Chan; ‘Baby Boomer’ with co-star Conroy Chan; ‘Playtime For Adults’ – on the set of Robin-B-Hood; ‘Robin-B-Hood – An Original Making Of’; trailer; Dolby Digital Cantonese 5.1 and English 5.1 audio options (DVD); DTS HD MA English 5.1 and DTS HD MA Cantonese 5.1 audio options (Blu-ray); optional English Subtitles.

On the 7th June we are given the release of Robo-Geisha released from the Cine-Asia Extreme Label. This horror (I mean it looks f**king awful) will be released on DVD (£15.99) and Blu-ray (£24.99). Special Features include: DTS HD Master Audio Japanese 4.0 Audio Track (Blu-ray only); Dolby Digital Japanese 2.0 Audio Track; optional English Subtitles; Trailer Gallery; Original Trailer.

Now many details have surfaced at the moment, but Cine-Asia will release Mulan: Warrior Princess the latest effort from Jingle Ma starring Vicky Zhao and Jaycce Chan. Mulan will be released on 21st June 2010 on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Blood (2009)

After exposing several highly respected officials in a political scandal, Detective Hoshino (Kanji Tsuda) is being put in charge of several unsolved cases just before their respective statutes of limitations expire.

His latest case leads him to an eerie mansion owned by the voluptuous heiress, Miyako Rozmberk (Aya Sugimoto). The Investigation revolves around the murder of one of her former maids, only 14-years-old. She claims she’s told the police everything, Miyako announces to Hoshino that she knew the man responsible for the killing, identifying him as Ukyo Kuronuma (Jun Kaname), a mysterious businessman with powerful connections.

Having tracked down the newly revealed suspect, Hoshino is shocked to catch Ukyo in the act of slashing the throat of a naked young girl chained up in his headquarters. Discovering that the Ukyo is in actual fact, a vampire who was ‘turned’ 160 years ago by Miyako herself… Read More
