Yes Madam! (1985)

Plot: Scottish Businessman Richard Nordon was known to have a small piece of microfilm, with criminating evidence against crime lord Tin (James Tien). Richard attempts to bargain with Tin’s henchman, Dick (Dick Wei). Dick is in no mood to bargain, so he kills Richard on the spot and then goes for the microfilm. Although his plan doesn’t work when a Bellboy comes in the room. This mysterious Bellboy ends up stealing from Richard (To Whom he thinks is sleeping) and ends up taking the microfilm as well without known it. Dick has to escape when the police hit the scene.

The police officer in charge is Inspector Ng (Michelle Yeoh), she was a personal friend of Richard and is more than happy to arrest the crooks. She believes that is was the Bellboy who murdered him, as she say him leaving the room. Ng’s boss, Chief Inspector Wong (Melvin Wong) decides to bring in one of Richards colleagues from Scotland Yard to help with the investigation.

Carrie Morris (Cynthia Rothrock) is a tough cookie and believes in using her fists before her brain. She apprehends a thug who is attempting to leave the country and he was also using Richard Nordons passport.

It turns out that he had bought this passport from a guy who sells fake goods, mainly passports and weapons. Everyone knows this person as Panadol (Tsui Hark). Panadol is a real slippery fish with a workshop that has more tricks and trapdoors than you can imagine. He is accompanied by two dim sidekicks, Strepsil (John Shum) and Aspirin (Mang Hoi). Both Strepsil and Aspirin were the Bellboys stealing from the hotel rooms the night Richard died.

Plot: Dragon (played by Jackie Chan) and his fellow coastguards get told that they no longer coast guards and that their now going to be police officers. Why Are the becoming police officers? Well just as the coast guards were going of to their mission san Po’s (played by Dick Wei) main man cho kou and his men blow up the remaining ships the Admiral had. A meeting then was taking place after that with the Admiral (played by Lau Hak Sen.) and the carnal the admiral tried his best to persuade the carnal that his new project ‘Project A’ would be more successful but the carnal wasn’t going to listen. He had all ready made up his mind that the coast guards are now police. Tai Po (played by Tai Po himself) and some of the men listened to the conversation through the chimney he then told Dragon, Dragon couldn’t do anything thing about it except do what they were told. In the town of Fut Shan was know for three things it’s paper craft, The Big Budha & Leung Chang (Yuen Biao). Leung Chang comes from a wealthy family and was keen on the ‘old martial arts. He practiced under many masters, but he never met his match, quoted as the ‘Street Brawler’. Being waited on by hand and foot by his personal assistant (Peter Chan). Although he isn’t that great…actually he isn’t great at all. His parents are too over protective and lets his personal assistant fix all his fights, by paying them a healthy some of taels. After finding out that his brother had gotten fooled by a member of the traveling Peeking Opera ‘Leung Yee-Tai’ ( Lam Ching Ying). Leung Chang can’t let his family down so he decides to teach this Leung Yee-Tai a lesson. After being having this secret revealed to him by Leung Yee-Tai, Leung Chang looses it and confronts his masters and looses to them easy. Read More

Beethoven (John Shum) and Ah-Chiu (Richard Ng) are to two women loving cops who cant stop playing pranks on each other. One day after being tipped off by Wen (Tai Bo) on a drug deal. They suddenly jump to action (both hoping for a promotion) and stop the superstar ‘Sha’ (Peter Chan Lung), although he is clean, no evidence of any dealing at all and the two cops are left looking stupid. Now given the mission to find evidence enough to put the evil Sha in jail, for good!

Both Chiu and Beethoven are also looking for love. Chiu starts a steady relationship with the Iron Lady, Anna (Deanie Yip). After many failed attempts Beethoven still comes out unlucky, he nearly makes with a relative of a murder victim. The victim was also Sha’s girlfriend, coincidence…I think not. Read More

Paper Marriage (1988)

Set in Canada, Bo (Sammo Hung) is an ex-light weight-boxing champion who has ran himself into debt by gambling on the horses. He attempts to make money by being a guinea pig for scientist, basically being a pincushion for students learning acupuncture.

Running low on money and ideas, Bo talks to his uncle Tsai at the local boxing club and asks if there was any work for him, unfortunately no, but he insisted that he could make some good money taking part in a paper marriage.

Bo meets Jade (Maggie Cheung), from Hong Kong. She is being set up with Bo so that she can stay in Canada and live with her boyfriend, Peter (Alfred Cheung). Peter promises Bo a good couple grand to go through with this marriage, although after the wedding, Peter flees and leaves both Bo and Jade.

Peter leaves a message saying he ran into debt and he can’t come back for Jade. Jade is devastated and now she has to live with Bo to keep the immigration office at bay. Now desperate for money, Bo re-enters the boxing ring to get some money. He finds out that if he beats his ex-wife’s (Joyce Godenzi) new boyfriend, Billy (Billy Chow) he will get all his debts cleared. Jade even does her part by competing in a mud wrestling competition…

A big budget Fantasy Martial Arts flick with a reasonable younger cast compared to 1983’s Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain.

Dawn (Cecilia Cheung), the head of the Kun Lun Sect. Although she has been naughty and has fallen in love with her disciple, King Sky (Ekin Cheng). The young couple are soon parted when the evil demon, Insomnia destroys the Kun Lun sector and kills Dawn. King easily gets out numbered, retreats and goes into hiding…

200 years later, King Sky is brought out from his hiding when he meets Red (Louis Koo). Both King & Red come across Insomnia, whom has grown even more powerful and has revealed the plan of him wanting to destroy the mountains of Zu, including the Omei Clan.

King & Red meet the Omei Clan leader, Whitebrows (played by Sammo Hung, reprising his role from the first Zu Warriors Movie). King is suddenly struck when he meets, Enigma. Enigma is one of Whitebrows students and she is the reincarnation of Dawn, although King hasn’t faced the fact that Dawn is gone.
