The Lager Logs Special: Another Round Review

Yikes, that was a longer break than expected but Science Camp will always come first. To be honest, it took me an awfully long time to work out what E=MC2 actually means but eh, less about boring MDMA-swallowing rappers and more about beer, beer and possibly beer. That’s right- the lads from the Logs have returned, more than willing to give up steroids for a shot at getting back on the bike.

Up tonight: We get Mads but don’t get even…join us to hear our thoughts on Danish drinking drama Another Round whilst the RMS Drytanic hits a Carls-berg and we review their Premium Export Pilsner. Cheers!

S1E10: Marston’s Special- A Trio of Great British Ales

We’re a perfect 10, but we wear a 12…well, I’m more in between a 14 and a 16 at the moment but please don’t judge, my Mom said it’s just a growth spurt. Coffee will stunt your growth, but excess ale consumption will stretch your girdle. And I have prom coming up !

Yes, the season finale has arrived but do not fear- we’ll be back to terrorize the living with an insatiable lust for human flesh in the new year, just leave us dead and buried ’til then OK ? And no, do not donate my body to medical science, not after that Bunsen burner incident in Year 8…marshmallow use in Biology is deeply frowned upon apparently. And bringing your own kindling.

Up tonight: A tasty trilogy from magnificent Marston’s, one of Britain’s primo producers. A treat for hungry booze hounds- Pedigree Amber Ale, we got an ETA on their EPA (right about now) and Wainwright, a golden oldie but a goodie. Cheers!

S1E9: Becks Lager and Amigos Tequila Flavoured Beer

Is it a bird ? Is it a plane ? No, it’s just another of my morning drinking-induced hallucinations. Maybe this time that 10:30 magpie to Costa Rica with let me keep my ring pulls…and my air miles.

What’s that you say ? Why of course we have another slice of blistering beer babble for even the most reserved of ear sockets ! Thank you for asking nicely and minding your P’s and Q’s- I mean, toilet breaks while waiting in line are extremely important. Take a number and we’ll be with you longly.

Up tonight: Another inspirational, thought-provoking episode of The Lager Logs ? Err, I’d probably hedge your Becks. But stick around, as second through the gate but not quite over the wall, our cerveza said…Amigos tequila flavoured lager. Cheers!

S1E8: Ringwood Brewery’s Forty Niner and Baltika #7 Premium Export Lager

Can I Play with Madness ?…Well no, not really, Suggs is busy- why not ask The Specials ? Yes, the boys with the Pints of View are back with another show filled to the brim with lashings of lager lunacy.

Join us as our global misadventures continue and we strike another major holiday destination off our brewski map of the world! At this rate all that’ll be left on there is big red X’s in patches of blue (sorta like my old girlfriend getting embarrassed at the swimming pool. I don’t know why- bit on the larger side but she had a cracking pair of ankles)

Up tonight: Do you work on a pig farm ? ‘Cos your bacon me horny…hog fanatics Ringwood Brewery’s Forty Niner and From Russia with Love comes Baltika Number (00)7. C’mon, you can’t drink vodka all the time. Cheers!

S1E7: Guinness Original Extra Stout and Guinness West Indies Porter

The Lager Logs is back with another night of brewski-induced insanity. One flew over the cuckoo’s nest ? Try two stumbled into a blue tit’s auditorium. Man, this all-female version of the Blue Man Group rules !

We have an all black line-up this evening but hold your tears- the reports of our death have been greatly exaggerated…we’re back from beyond the grave and ready to party ! In all seriousness, that whole death scare thing got me thinking about my will…does Stew get 25 percent of my bottle cap collection or 30 ? It’s one to mull over.

Up tonight: We’re the Boys on the Blackstuff- Irish eyes will indeed be smiling (jeez, is this what double vision feels like? I need to take smaller sips) as this evening we’re sampling Guinness Original Extra Stout and Guinness West Indies Porter. Cheers!

S1E6: Doom Bar Amber Ale and Innis & Gunn The Original Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale

Grab that pistol cowboy- you got a dual on your hands. The Lager Logs is officially locked and loaded with six of the best and episodio sei is headin’ straight for ya with some malty mayhem in the old west tonight !

Instead of our usual sampling of historic hops, we shine the spotlight on a couple of new kids on the block and tonight, you got it…we’ll most certainly be hangin’ tough. And high. And a bit shrivelled. Kinda cold too…don’t be so mean, it’s a medical condition ! It’s got nothing to do with my choice to wear a thong.

Up tonight: A bit wet behind the ears but definitely not around the hand (that’s what bottles were invented for) razor Sharp’s Doom Bar and Edinburgh’s amber child, Innis and Gunn’s Original Bourbon Barrel Scotch ale. And if you thought that was a mouthful, you should try glassblowing. Honestly, it’ll do wonders for your didgeridooing. Cheers!

S1E5: Courage Best Bitter and Newcastle Brown Ale

What do we want ? Somewhat adequate beer discussion ! When do we want it ? Anytime really. Next week would be nice. Tonight ? Well, that’s awfully decent of you. I had nothing planned.

In this episode, we rate a few beers, discuss plans for world domination and interview a local ant colony…think of us as the Woolworths pick ‘n’ mix of the podcast biz. We like our beers warm, our wars cold and our tangents sprawling and completely unrelated.

Up tonight: A very English scandal…first up, the antidote for all you cowardly dogs out there- Courage Best Bitter. Followed up close behind by Alan Shearer’s favourite brown lady (his wife really needs to work on her tan) Newcastle Brown Ale. Cheers !

S1E4: Tsingtao Premium Lager and Efes Pilsner

The age old debate…Stones or the Beertles. Well hot off the presses, we have our very own episode (fab) four and if we’re talking solo careers, The Lager Logs is definitely the Ringo Starr of the podcasting world.

In this incredible instalment we have some highs, some lows, and a few drops heading straight down the centre…I knew I shouldn’t have worn that silk shirt.

Up tonight: We’re hitting you with a slice of globe-trotting grandeur- a favourite of Chinese restaurant connoisseurs around the world…international pale lager Tsingtao. We also Constantihople you like selection number 2…Turkish pilsner Efes. Cheers !

S1E3: Old Speckled Hen and Hobgoblin Ruby Beer

Party people, we’re back with a vengeance- part 3 in The Lager Logs saga has it all…mystery, intrigue and a severe need to break the seal.

We hope you’re enjoying our coverage so far but even if you’re not, look, I told you I’m no good with my hands- stop asking strange men at the beach to get your back for you. No, I don’t know if it’s SPF 30, I came here for the dunes. Tonight, funnily enough we’ll be talking a little beer, a little movies and what we’ve been getting upto in between court appearances. Be there or be square (I personally identify as an octagon)

Up tonight: A pair of British classics, and no I’m not talking about terrible weather and overwhelming xenophobia…Greene King’s Old Speckled Hen and Wychwood Brewery’s iconic Hobgoblin. Cheers!

S1E2: Greene King IPA Reserve and Hoegaarden Wheat Beer

Here we are. The sequel no one asked for…yes, I am talking about my Uncle No one (he’s from Cancún) this one’s for you big guy !

Due to the law of diminishing returns you’re guaranteed to have at least 25 percent less fun with this one or your megabits per second returned back for a full refund. We’ve change the plot a tad, brought back the characters you know and love but somehow it all smells a bit ‘been here, done that’…not to worry that’s just my cottage pie in the oven.

Up tonight: British institution Greene King’s IPA Reserve and a little bit of Dutch courage- wheat beer Hoegaarden. Cheers !
