Plot: Johnny (Lau Ching-Wan) and the ‘La Brassiere’ gang return for more sticky situations.

Johnny and Lena (Gigi Leung) have been hired by the president of a Japanese baby production company known as ‘B&B’, the wealthy Japanese business man has bought the when he discovers that his wife is pregnant. It’s now up to Johnny and Lena to design and produce the very best baby product that money can buy.

Johnny seeks help from his old buddy Wayne (Louis Koo). Wayne is a little bit of a playboy but he finds himself happy with his current girlfriend and now work colleague – Lena. He loves her despite her little quirks (her frequent use of the phrase “Huh” and late in the movie “Grr…like this”).

The three amigos admit they don’t really know the first about babies so they decide to hire Japans leading baby expert – Boey (Cecilia Cheung). Boey has a special talent which allows her to communicate with the babies. She also wants to help cure Wayne’s fear of babies.

Johnny finds himself in need of a personal assistant so he hires the clumsy and breathless – Sabrina (Rosamund Kwan). At first both he and Wayne made fun of the poor woman until loving flame ignites between the two. Problems occur when Johnny’s ex-girlfriend Samantha (Carina Lau) returns to the scene.

With relationships on the fritz and the all their test projects going horribly wrong, can the group sort everything out in time? Read the rest of this entry »

Plot: Police Officer Wong disappeared 18 months ago after giving chase to a serial killer into the woods, his partner Chi-Wai (Gordon Lam) also gave chase, but he return miraculously unharmed.

Since then, several heists and shootings have all been performed with Wongs pistol.

RCU Officer Ho (Andy On) has been put in charge of solving this case; he decides to seek advice from former boss and personal “sifu”, Bun (Lau Ching-Wan). Bun was an incredibly talented detective who managed to solve several crimes, simply by retracing crime, step by step. He also claimed to have the ability of see people’s inner-personalities, showing their “true” personality, often exposing them as the crimes in question.

Bun was then fired from the force after being judged as mentally unstable, especially when he willingly cut off his own ear as a gift for a retiring colleague.

Ho believes straight away that Bun still has what it takes to solve this mystery. Bun’s first impression sends him into the direction of Wong’s former partner – Chi Wai. Read the rest of this entry »

Plot: Brainwashed by his masters to feel no pain, Tsui (Jet Li) is a member of China’s elite 701 Squad – a merciless team of assassins. But Tsui wants out. Escaping to Hong Kong, he creates a new identity for himself and attempts to lead a normal life.

When the city is rocked by a series of gangland murders, each hit bears all the hallmarks of the 701 Squad assassination. Their master plan is global domination of the drugs trade and, as their killing spree takes it’s mounting toll, the local cops grow ever more powerless to stop them. Plot: Good cop Bill Zhu (Lau Ching-Wan) finds himself being demoted after quarling with fellow sergant, sleaze ball Guan (Berg Ng). Bill is left in charge of a group EU (Emergency Unit) misfits, a story telling veteran (Spencer Lam), by-the-books cadet with family trouble (Jordan Chan), a short tempered woman (Theresa Lee) and a guns expert (Cheung Tat-Ming).

The streets of Hong Kong are left covered in blood when a group of mainland terrorists free thier captive leader, “The Professor” (Yu Rong-Guang). They then go out on a mission to clame the millions of dollars that the Royal Hong Kong Police has taken from them.

With the death of Bill’s ex-supervisor by the Professor, Bill sets out with his group to stop the terrorists before they leave the country. Read the rest of this entry »

Plot: Officer Pao (Lau Ching-Wan) is the average cop who is under stress investigating a murder case. The murder is a low life thug, Mak Kwan (Francis Ng), who admits to the crime. Although Kwan is planning more serious crimes with a mainland criminal (Jack Gao).

Officer Pao and other members of the police force (including Chin Kar-Lok) are on to Mak Kwans plan, after finding various bomb-making materials discovered in Kwans apartment. This leads to hail bullets and out of control car chases as Officer Pao risks his life and his family into catching Mak Kwan off guard.

Full Alert is a great modern day cat and mouse movie. Sean Lau (aka Lau Ching Wan) is a convincing police officer, like some of his past work in The Black Mask and more recently in the Running Out Of Time Series. Sean definitely gives it his all in this movie. Read the rest of this entry »
