But not to us…well kinda but it won’t cost you a thing!
Hey everybody, Ken here. In an effort in all honesty to try and raise the Podcast On Fire Network profile a little as well as echoing our giving sides, I was thinking we could do a trial run that would mix YOUR love for a show, even SEVERAL on the network and giving. But here’s the thing, your giving only costs you a few minutes, maybe a MINUTE of your time. That’s the giving we want from you. Leave the actual giving to us!
Here’s how it breaks down, this first trial run of this concept if you will:
*Leave a written review on our main iTunes feed (where all shows pop up) and email firstname.lastname@example.org a screencap of it or the review itself. As I have an iTunes Sweden account and if you post on UK or US, I can’t see it. If you’re the 5th person to do so starting from this blog post, I’ll donate 20 GBP to a charity of your choice.
*The other way is to leave us a LIKE over at our Facebook page http://facebook.com/POFNetwork and if you’re the 10th person to do so, starting from this blog post I’ll try and get in touch with you and will donate 20 GBP to a charity of your choice.
I’ll throw my hat in the ring first and will personally donate 20 pounds to NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children). In their own words: “Our vision is to end cruelty to children in the UK. We campaign to change the law, provide ChildLine and the NSPCC helpline service, offer advice for adults, and much more. Visit their website: http://www.nspcc.org.uk/
Let’s combine our love for creating podcasts, your love for listening and for free, you will be triggering something directed towards a good cause.
No new Podcast On Fire this weekend (editing in process, computer trouble etc) but I urge you all to listen to Jacob Feltner’s 100TH EPISODE of Podcast Without Honor And Humanity or simply give Big Jake a pat on the back for a job well done establishing such a KEY presence in the Asian cinema podcasting community.
He inspires me daily and I was glad and honored to be a guest on this episode talking Tsui Hark’s The Blade (which is the second of three reviews, others being Satoshi Kon’s Perfect Blue and Kinji Fukasaku’s Battle Royale, in this epic big 100). Click link below or image above to access the show and congratulations Jake!
Ken had the honor of guesting on the very special episode 100 of East Screen West Screen, the premier podcast to find out what’s the word on the latest Hong Kong releases, either from the East or the West! Check it out by clicking the image or link below!
It’s the time of the week again where Master Stoo is playing video games for an entire day but also the time of the YEAR where he’s doing it for charity! Yes, visit his Extra-Life page* to find out how you can support his charity work for the Children’s Miracle Network. In honour of that, Stoo also gives you the full skinny on an unnumbered Podcast On Fire focusing on games played recently, Asian movies that could be made into games and joining him is Ken and VCinema’s Coffin Jon for a relaxed un-movie like discussion in the POF-lounge.
*XBox users can also find and follow Stoo under the handle stoo1985 during the day.

If you haven’t checked it out already, head over to the excellent East Screen / West Screen podcast with Paul Fox, Kevin Ma and at times Ross Chen of lovehkfilm-fame where much of the current releases in Hong Kong cinemas are covered! A few weeks back, Ken had the honor of guesting on Episode 59: Men Suddenly on Fire…and Under Fire. Talking his website and the Podcast On Fire Network as well as the latest at the time Wong Jing comedy was also reviewed and discussed!
Also, if you thought This Week In Sleaze covered all there is to say about Sex And Zen, THINK AGAIN! East Screen / West Screen went all out explicit and turned 3D Sex & Zen: Extreme Ecstasy inside and out with splendid results! Check out episode, appropriately enough, 69 called I’m Too Sexy For Your 3D or click the poster below.
We had the pleasure and honor recently to be on the VCinema podcast to discuss our MOVIE origins. What got us onto the path of Asian movie fandom, leading into writing and podcasting etc? Join Coffin Jon, Josh, Stoo and Ken for 2 hours of FUN history. Click link below or image above to hear the show!
Filling the gaps between shows Stoo has published several deleted conversations which are regularly posted on the Members Only forum, but today subscribers can get to listen into the show everyone once and a while. Stoo, Ken and Jim discuss; Dragon Tiger Gate, Dragonball Evolution (again), Sex and Chopsticks, They Live and Twins Effect II!
